The United States had an excellent performance in the Diving comeptitions at the London's Olympic Games in 2012. The US won a total of four medals, 1 gold, and secured the second place in the medals table behind China, which totaled 10 medals, six gold. MEN. The US athletes won medals in 3 of the 4 events of the program, especially David Boudia, Olympic champion in the individual contest on the platform. Moreover, the U.S. stayed with bronze medals in synchronized events, both on the platform as the springboard. WOMEN. The United States had a discreet showing in women's competitions. The US athletes just won a silver medal in Synchronized Trampoline event through double Kelci Bryant and Abigail Johnston. The United States leads by a wide margin the medal tally in the Diving Olympic history, but since the late 80's US lost a lot of space for the mighty China, which is under constant evolution.
