any podium and women leading the medal table with 2 medals, one gold. MEN. The United

the podium in any category. It was the first time since 1908 that US men didn't
get medal. In 2008, in Beijing, the USA only won a bronze medal. WOMEN. Women's
Boxing competitions were played for the first time in the Olympic Games in
2012. The United States has conducted an excellent campaign and placed first
place in the medals table, winning two medals, one gold and one bronze.
Claressa Shields was the team's big name to win the gold medal in the 75 kg
category by defeating Russia's Nadezda Torlopova in the final. Marlen Esparza,
